You will meet your Amber Cove shore excursion guide outside your Amber Cove cruise port and get ready to leap – again, and again, and again! Up to 30 guests will go on this adventure, beginning in air-conditioned transportation for a short 25-minute narrated drive through the countryside to the Damajagua River and its famous waterfalls. The Twenty-Seven Waterfalls of Rio Damajagua are hidden in the Northern Corridor mountain range and are unlike any other place on Earth.
After arriving at your Waterfalls excursion base camp, you will be given safety equipment – consisting of a helmet and life vest – and a briefing. Ready? You will cross rivers and streams before the Damajuaga shore excursion staff guide leads you on an uphill hike of about 40 minutes to reach the top of the falls accompanied by a specially trained member of the “Jump Crew”! What goes up, must come down…and to get down you must jump and slide down the falls. Time to take that leap you’ve been thinking about, down into the naturally formed pools or sliding down the natural waterslides carved over the centuries. This is not allowed for smaller, younger children due to their amount of physical activity levels. All adults must be in very good physical condition. Once you go up the hillside, returning is by jumping and sliding your way back down although there are ladders at some jump sites If this is too active for you and you still want to see the falls, please check out our Amber Cove Tropical Forest Trek and Natural Pool Swimming Excursion which does not have any jumping involved.
Following this amazing adventure cruise shore excursion in Amber Cove, you will change into dry clothes and prepare for a fun return trip back to your Amber Cove cruise ship port.
